Synergy Massage accepts medically referred insurance. Why?
To provide therapy/treatment to those otherwise unable to afford it and who are desperately
in need of it.
Such as the injured worker, the ill patient, and the prescribed physician cases.
What are the types of cases acceptable?
Usually workman compensation cases, auto accident, and some personal injury cases such as
slip and fall.
These are all dependent on the physician referring the patient as medically necessary for treatment and whether the insurance company deems it acceptable treatment.
What if the Doctor isn't familiar with massage prescription?
As you know, insurance companies can be very fastidious when it comes to doing things their way. I have a specialized prescription pad containing those diagnosed, modalities, and /or procedures most often falling within the massage therapists scope of practice. The modalities and/or procedures I use most are already checked on the prescription in order to avoid insurance company delays.
